PRESENTING SARA BERTI
Sara Berti’s artistic vision is deeply rooted in the contemplation of spatial experiences, encompassing both the internal realm of our homes and the external sphere of public spaces. Her unconventional approach to traditional mediums such as paintings and drawings invites viewers to perceive these works within a vacuum or framed space, intriguingly interweaving associations of detachment, isolation, displacement, but also protection, hiding or being alone with oneself.
Berti’s art serves as a poignant commentary on our consumerist society, highlighting the interplay between art and consumerism. The sculptures encased in vacuums and even the refrigerator sculptures speak to the ever-expanding boundaries of our materialistic world, challenging us to reflect upon our relationship with both objects and people.
