The artist Seet van Hout participates in Gelderland Biennale 2019. The concept of this year’s biennial is “Man and the Nature”.
Nature has always been a main metaphor, a mirror for the soul, and one of the most used themes in art history.
The concept of Man and Nature also plays an important role in Seet van Hout’s artworks as every little thing can be connected to the garden. She portrays the concepts of garden intuitively in her work using embroidery for the detailed drawings and painting for the feelings of ambiguity.
Gelderland Biennale takes place for the first time in Arnhem and Nijmegen with the joined forces of Museum Arnhem and Museum Her Valkhof.
